Wave anaysis seminar in Germany
The number of AWAC users in Germany is steadily increasing, and in 2010 we have reached a critical number where it was time for a user seminar exclusively devoted to wave analysis. It was our first experience with this format, and judging from the feedback we received from the participants this is something we should do also in other parts of the world.
16 German AWAC users came to the city of Rostock, where the University of Rostock had been so kind as to let us use their computer room training facilities. They spent two full days on discussing data sets, learning how to use the Storm software, and distinguishing between good and bad data sets. The activity was quite intense, and overall we felt that this was a success. The most important lesson learned for Nortek was that even more example data sets and hands on training should be given, as this type of work seems to be more instructive than lectures.
Terra4 generously invited all participants to a fantastic dinner party in the evening of day one, and that didn't exactly seem to lower the good spirit between all of us.
Who will be the next to follow in Terra4's footsteps?
