Welcome to the blog section of the Nortek WEB site. Here we try to give you insight into the "private" part of our lives here at Nortek - a small glimpse into how we think, how we spend our time, how we view the world, and what we are trying to accomplish.
The things that happen on stage is but a small part of the whole performance
It is a sign of our times that marketing professionals bombard us with information about how "social media" is changing the way people spend their time. And of course, if customers don't spend their time reading paper adverts, we have to run after them on buses, in elevators, on Facebook, in Twitter, etc. As if commercial intrusion into our lives was a right that has been written into the UN charter.
I am not going to pretend that Nortek is a non-commercial institution or that we don't enjoy making a sale or seeing products being shipped out the door. However, we have struggled with the balance between intruding into your lives and allow you to get a "behind-the-scences" insight into our organization - if you want it and when you want. In the end we decided that a "backtage" blog could be the appropriate solution. We hope you will take time to visit us when you have the opportunity :)
