We are pleased to see that the acceptance of the Vectrino laboratory velocimeter has reached a level where the State Key Laboratory of Coastal and Offshore Engineering of Dalian University of Technology can decide to purchase 28 units use in their laboratory.

The key researchers are Professor Zou Zhi Li and Ms Sun Yang, who intend to use the units in a series of different flumes, 2D wave tanks and 3D basins that they have available at the facility. The research includes turbulent flow studies, 3D simulations of the the coastal and offshore flow, as well as ship modelling projects.
China is now one of the most active countries in the world for hydraulic research, which goes hand in hand with the incredible civil engineering activitiy that can be seen all throughout the country.
